Males Can Really Concentrate Driving than Females

A research was performed by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety about teenage driving and their practices. Distracted Driving Among Newly Licensed Teen Driver is the name of the study. The research goes like this; teen drivers will be checked through a video recorder in their automobile and with this, the cause of potential mishaps will be figured out. Automobile accidents are the very known reason for death amongst young adults in these days.

As reported by AAA, distracting actions are usually performed by the majority of teen motorists. Makeup application, cellular phones, grooming habits and text messaging are seen to be part of the said distracting actions. Drivers also do a distracting practice in which they frequently reach for something in the car.

The study identified that the most significant distraction for all teenage motorists was the use of gadgets. The alarming thing is that 70% of the total number of drivers make use of an electronic gadget. This count reaches a higher percentage with older teen drivers.

It was identified that female teen drivers are more likely to make use of electronics as compared to their male counterparts. Additionally, female teens act a lot more terribly while driving a vehicle compared to guys. The reasons for distraction are not focusing on the street as they reach for stuff in their automobiles, eating, and drinking. This only implies that gender does play a major factor.

It was also found out that teenagers tend to decrease distracting behaviors whenever parents or any other adults will accompany them whilst driving. This study is not a surprise as distracted driving accidents increase in number.
